About

The long, flat and narrow shape of linguine are perfectly suited to seafood sauces and marinara and is also served with pesto.  It is slightly wider than regular spaghetti and similar to fettuccine but is a bit wider still.

There is also companion pasta called linguine fine which are similar in width to spaghetti.

It is believed that linguine originated from the Campania region of Italy.
