This is an excellent pear tart recipe. We didn't have tart pan on hand, so we used a 9-inch pie pan instead, and it still worked well. The pears came out moist in the center, loved the almond base underneath the pears, which soaked all the juice from the pears and was really tasty; the crust was flakey and buttery. The tart was not too sweet, just right amount of the sugar. Definitely a delicious and light dessert that satisfies you and won't let you feel guilty afterwards!
