Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups margarine
¾ cup brown sugar
firmly packed

1 each eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg

3 cups rolled oats
10 ounces chocolate chips

Directions

Heat oven to 375℉ (190℃).

Beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla.

Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; add to margarine mixture, mixing well.

Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10 to 11 minutes for a crisp.
