1 hrsThree fruits, one bowl, and a bundt pan. This cake practically makes itself.
Bananas, crushed pineapple, and applesauce all go into the batter, creating a cake so moist it stays tender for days. Cinnamon warms every bite, chopped nuts add crunch, and vegetable oil keeps the crumb soft without any creaming or fussing with butter.
Just stir everything together with a spoon, pour it into a bundt pan, and let the oven work its magic. A dusting of confectioners’ sugar while it’s still warm is all the topping it needs.
Kitchen Tips
- Don’t use a mixer; a wooden spoon and a strong arm are all you need for this batter
- Grease and flour the bundt pan well so that beautiful shape releases cleanly
- Test with a toothpick at the 1-hour mark; the dense fruit batter can take up to 75 minutes
