Chocolate Dipped Creams

Ingredients

butter, unsalted
softened |

½ | cup |
powdered sugar

1 | tablespoon |
vanilla extract
|
|
1 | cup |
all-purpose flour
sifted |
|
1 | cup |
cornstarch
|
|
⅛ | tablespoon |
salt
|
|

powdered sugar
for rolling |

chocolate chips
|

nuts
chopped, as needed |

powdered sugar
as needed |

jimmies
as needed |

Directions
Preheat the oven to 375℉ (190℃).
Cream the butter with the sugar.
Add the vanilla. Sift the flour, cornstarch and salt together.
Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
Chill the dough for about one hour.
Shape teaspoons of the dough into balls.
Place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake the cookies about 12 minutes or until set and lightly brown on the bottom.
Remove to a rack and cool.
Roll cookies in powdered sugar.
Dip tops in melted chocolate and then in nuts, sugars, or jimmies.
Allow the chocolate to set.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Thank you for posting! This is the exact recipe I was looking for, my mom too used it from the WI Electric Cookie Book, but I couldn't find it! Many thanks, I am making a double batch!
