Betty Crocker Banana Bread


Learn from the amazing chef herself and enjoy this scrumptious banana bread that will be your new favorite thing for breakfast.













Low in Saturated Fat, Low Cholesterol, Trans-fat Free


237 ml sugar
30 ml vegetable shortening
1 each eggs
177 ml milk
710 ml all-purpose flour
18 ml baking powder
5 ml salt
237 ml bananas
177 ml walnuts


Mix all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Place in greased loaf pan (9x5x3). Bake at 350℉ (180℃) for 60 to 70 minutes until golden brown. A toothpick inserted will come out clean when the bread is done.

Optionally, the batter can be split between 2 smaller loaf pans. cooking time will be reduced to approximately 45 minutes.

Thanks for your comment, just updated the recipe, should be 16 servings, the older serving size is one loaf, so it caused the calculation problem. Enjoy! So per serving should be 193 calories.

I have made this bread for YEARS and I add about 1/2 c. of finely chopped dried apricots. It adds a little zip that is unexpected and oh so good.
