Ingredients

1 package yeast, active dry
1 cup whole-wheat flour
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
freshly ground
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 ½ teaspoons garlic
minced in oil
1 tablespoon parsley leaves
dried
1 teaspoon rosemary leaves
dried
1 ½ teaspoons oregano
dried
1 ¼ cups water
warm

Directions

Combine ingredients and put into breadmaker.

A very hearty bread with lots of flavor. Perfect with a bowl of homemade soup. I added 2 teaspoons sugar because I think sugar is needed to give the yeast a boost. I also added 2 tbls. vital wheat gluten.
