Also like this mincemeat pastry squares recipe, and the pastry gives the lovely flakey texture.

Directions

Preheat oven to 375℉ (190℃).

Coat large cookie sheet with cooking spray or baking mat.

Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.

In medium bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar and salt.

Using pastry blender or your fingers, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add sour cream, stirring lightly with fork. (Dough may be crumbly.)

Divide dough in half, shape each into a ball.

Flatten balls, smooth edges.

Roll each ball lightly on well-floured working surface or large cutting board to 16×8-inch rectangle.

Cut each into four 8×4-inch rectangles, forming 8 rectangles.

In small bowl, mix together all filling ingredients.

Add about ¼ cup filling on 1 end of each small rectangle.

Fold pastry in half over filling, press edges with fork to seal.

Pierce with a fork in several places on top of each pastry square.

Transfer squares on prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Stir together glaze ingredients, drizzle over each pastry square.

Serve warm or at room temperature.

Make 8 pastry squares.
