Simple Chili Con Carne
A simple and delicious dish made with kidney beans, bell peppers and tomatoes. Can be used as a side or be the main course itself.

Directions
Pan fry ground beef, onion and green pepper in skillet until meat is brown. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients except beans and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until thick (about 1 hour). Stir in beans and heat.
For dried kidney beans - use ½ lb (for standard serving size). Wash, and cover with boiling water. Cook 2 minutes and remove from heat. Soak for 1 hour then bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until tender.
Serve warm with some grated cheddar cheese on top if needed.
