No wonder it's a World Championship chili, it was packed with flavour. Followed the recipe as it is, and not too hard to make. It was definitely a hit at our dinner table. I will have to keep this recipe.

Directions

Dice and sauté first 5 ingredients. Add meat and brown.

Add remaining ingredients, including half a can of beer. Add water just to cover top.

Cook about 3 hours on low heat. Stir often. Remove bay leaves.

Serve warm.

best recipe I've triEd. won a cook off at my work. I added tri beans to it. serve with corn bread and cold beer. spiced it up a bit more with death rain or cayenne and fresh serranos.
