Fudge-Topped Brownies recipe

Ingredients

1 cup margarine
melted
2 cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs
½ cup milk
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 can milk, sweetened condensed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350℉ (180℃).

In large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk, and 1½ teaspoon vanilla.

Mix well.

Spread in greased 13x9 inch pan.

Bake 40 minutes.

Just before brownies are done, in heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk, and remaining vanilla.

Remove from heat. Immediately spread over hot brownies.

Cool. Chill, cut into bars. Store covered, at room temperature.

Serve with candied orange peel if desired.
