Even the sweet potato/yam “dis-liker” (me) liked the flavor of these. Nice little bite from the cayenne. And the amount of sugar was just right. I don’t care for really “sweet” yam dishes at all! Thanks for this addition to our holiday dinner. (Part of my “Thanksgiving 2010” Menu)

Ingredients

TEASPOONS ML PAPRIKA
1 5
TEASPOON ML BROWN SUGAR, LIGHT
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML BLACK PEPPER
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML ONION POWDER
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML THYME
dried *
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML ROSEMARY LEAVES
dried
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML GARLIC POWDER
0.6
TEASPOON ML CAYENNE PEPPER

TEASPOONS ML OLIVE OIL

Directions

Preheat oven to 375℉ (190℃) F (190 degrees C).

In a small bowl, stir together paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

Slice the sweet potatoes in half lengthwise.

Brush each half with olive oil.

Rub the seasoning mix over the cut surface of each half.

Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet, or in a shallow pan.

Bake in preheated oven until tender, or about 1 hour.

It's a very interesting recipe. On my test little bit too much paprika but other than that I love it.
