is there a way to reduce a large recipe in 1/2 then 1/2 that??
12 I know would be 6, then 3
4 tbs would be 2 then 1
1 tbs would be 1/2 then ?(1/4??)
2 tsp would be 1 then 1/2
4 1/2 would be 2 then 1 1/2?
I can find a recipe reducer any where
1 tbs would be 1/2 then ?(1/4??)
1/4 of 1 tablespoon would be a scant 1 teaspoon :)

To reduce 4 ½ in ½ and then ½ of that (in other words ¼ of the original) would be:
4 ½ ÷ 2 = 2 ¼, then
2 ¼ ÷ 2 = 1 ⅛
If you don't have a ⅛ measuring cup - ⅛ cup is equivalent to 2 tablespoons
Therefore ¼ of 4 ½ cups - measure out 1 cup + 2 tablespoons
Hope this helps, fractions can be a bit challenging at times. One way to divide recipe ingredients easier is to use metric. Then you won't have to wrestle with fractions!
