Made with store-bought or leftover homemade applesauce, this pie is exceptionally easy to prepare.

Ingredients

2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
granulated white
¾ cup butter
melted, cooled
2 cups applesauce
unsweetened, natural
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
ground

1 x pie shell (9 inch)
deep-dish, unbaked

Directions

Preheat oven to 350℉ (180℃).

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. Add all remaining ingredients except for the pie shell. Mix well to combine.

Pour into pie shell. Bake in lower third of oven for 45 minutes, until filling is just set.

Cool on wire rack.

Serve with cinnamon or vanilla ice cream.
