Directions

Blend brown sugar, 2 tablespoon flour, margerine and cinnamon in bowl, set aside.

Combine sugar, shortening and egg beating throughly.

Stir in milk.

Mix 1½ cup flour, baking powder and salt.

Stir into egg mixture just until smooth.

Spread ½ the batter in a greased 9 inch square pan.

Cover with ½ the apples; top with ½ of the brown sugar mixture.

Repeat layers.

Bake at 375℉ (190℃). for 45 to 50 min.
