11 minThe urban legend says someone paid two hundred fifty bucks for this recipe at Neiman Marcus cafe.
True or not, these cookies earn their reputation: oatmeal ground to powder creates tender structure, while chips, grated chocolate bar, and three cups of nuts pack every bite with crunch and richness.
Roll golf-ball sized portions, bake just six minutes at 375 degrees, and you’ve got three dozen loaded cookies with crispy edges and chewy centers.
Pro Tips
- Blend oatmeal to fine powder for tender texture, not chunky oat bits
- Space balls two inches apart as they spread during the quick bake
- Bake only six minutes for soft centers, longer for crisp-all-the-way-through
Ingredients
Directions
*Blended Oatmeal: Measure and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Add chips, candy and nuts. Roll into balls and place two (2) inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for six (6) minutes at 375℉ (190℃).
Makes 3 dozens of cookies, but recipe can halved.
