My favorite as a child growing up in cold Minnesota.
Quick, easy and delicious. An ideal week day dinner.
A cozy and comfy miso stew is ideal for cool fall and cold winter. Sweet potato, tofu (or you can use cooked chicken or pork meat instead), and mushrooms are browned with garlic, ginger and scallions first to maximize the deliciousness, then simmered in a miso based soup. Warms you up in a second!
This colorful low fat salad can be enjoyed warm or cold.
Maple leaf crackers that a perfect for Canada Day. These small maple leaves are so flavorful. They are so easy to be addicted especially have them with some Canadian cheddar or try our Canadian Garlic Cheese Spread recipe.
Sweet, crispy and tasty!
I had this Greek pastry for the first time in a restaurant and I was not overly thrilled with it. So when I ran across this recipe and saw how easy is was to make I decided to try it. I liked my version much better, which will no doubt cause an uproar. So to anyone who has tried this dessert I want you to make this one and let me know if you like it, maybe it tastes nothing like it is suppose to.
Perfect southern style collards made quick and easy. Simply kicked up with garlic and some pepper flakes.
Very tasty. It's hard to go wrong with potatoes and leeks. They seem a perfect combination especially when it comes up to soup, such as this chunky leek and potato soup. It was very easy to make, and packed with great flavors. If you prefer smooth soup, puree it in a food processor or blender. In whichever way, it's always delicious.
Warm and juicy mushroom filling spiked with goat cheese inside buttery flaky puff pastry.
This dough is easy to handle.
Rich and packed with flavor but without the unhealthy fats. Slightly sweet carmelized onions and sundried tomatos topped with cheese on crispy toast (crostini).
An incredibly tasty gravy, you can use the giblets or just some chicken stock if your prefer. My mother likes to use both beef and chicken stock to improve the color of the gravy.
