This delicious garden spaghetti sauce is packed with goodness and yumminess. It's thick, tasty and goes deliciously well with any recipe that calls for spaghetti sauce.

Ingredients

2 large onions
chopped
2 medium green bell peppers
chopped
1 cup celery
chopped
3 cloves garlic
minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces mushrooms
fresh
18 ounces tomato paste
3 cans
1 16 ounce tomatoes, canned
whole, undrained, chopped
24 ounces tomato sauce
3 cans
½ tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 teaspoon oregano
fresh, or 1 teaspoon dried
4 tablespoons basil
fresh, chopped, or 1 tablespoon dried
2 each bay leaves

Directions

Brown onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in hot oil in large dutch oven until soft and browned, about 8 minutes.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Cover, bring to boil, and reduce heat to simmer for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Remove bay leaves and serve over pasta of choice or use in any recipe that calls for spaghetti sauce.

Or put in an air-tight container or glass jar, keep it refrigerated until ready to use.

Made this garden spaghettis sauce for a few stuffed pasta recipes. It was certainly worth simmering for hours, it tasted so flavorful, and gave the dishes I made tons of yumminess.

I made a big bunch, put it into air-tight glass jars and kept the jars in the refrigerator. It can last a few weeks.
