Ingredients

½ cup all-purpose flour
1 dash black pepper
*
2 pinches salt
*
1 large eggs
2 tablespoons water
2 pieces beef, round steak
cubed, about 6-8 ounces ea.
*
peanut oil
for frying
*
Gravy
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
1 ½ cups milk

Directions

Put the flour, pepper, and salt in a plastic bag and mix. Beat the egg with the water, with a fork, until frothy.

Drop one piece of steak into the flour and coat, then dunk into the egg, then coat with the flour again. Repeat with other piece of steak.

Heat the oil until a cube of bread browns in one minute. Fry in the hot oil until browned crispy on both sides and cooked through. Serve with white gravy (cream sauce).

Gravy:

Melt the butter in a frying pan over low heat. Stir in the flour and stir for one minute. Take the frying pan off the heat and stir in the milk until smooth.

Return the pan to the heat, turn the heat up to medium, and cook, stirring, until bubbly and thickened.
