Directions
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Stir in chocolate chips. Make a well in the center.
Combine egg, milk, oil, and syrup. Add to dry ingredients and stir quickly until just moistened.
Let batter stand 20 minutes for the best texture.
Fill greased or lined muffin pan ⅔ full.
Bake at 400℉ (200℃) for 20 minutes.
