Neiman Marcus Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie

Buttery and moist inside, chewy and slightly crispy outside. Shaved chocolate bars and chocolate chips make these cookies double chocolaty and delicious. After the first bite, you will fall in love with these yummy treats.













Low Cholesterol, Trans-fat Free, Low Sodium


2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
5 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
24 ounces chocolate chips
8 ounces chocolate bars
3 cups nuts


Put oatmeal into a food processor and blend until it is ground to a fine powder.

Cream butter and both sugars.

Add eggs and vanilla.

Mix together with flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

Add chocolate chips, grated chocolate bar and nuts.

Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

Make about 112 cookies.

Bake for 6 minutes at 375℉ (190℃).

Best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I have ever baked. Shaved chocolate bars and chocolate chips made the cookies double chocolaty and delicious, and walnuts added some yummy nuttiness. No wonder people love these cookies, from now on we wil be making these lovely treats more often.

I have for 35 years been using the QUAKER OATS OATMEAL COOKIE recipe that is/was on their QUAKER OATS container which I tweaked slightly by adding chocolate chips, chopped walnut/pecans It seems to be very similar & may I add very yummy

can these cookies be made gluten free?

I think you can use gluten-free flour to make these cookies, I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see any problems to be gluten-free here.
