Crockpot Irish Oatmeal with Apples
No fuss slow cooker recipe using steel cut or Irish oatmeal that's enriched with apples and topped with a drizzle of honey.

Directions
Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
Add the oatmeal, water, milk, brown sugar and cinnamon to the Crockpot. Cover and set on low. Cook at least 6 hours, up to 12 hours.
Temperatures on slow cookers vary. If you have a newer model of slow cooker the higher temperature may cook faster. Check the oatmeal after 5 hours and adjust the time as needed. You can add more water and set your crockpot on warm (after cooking on low) to keep the oatmeal warm.
About one hour before serving, add the diced apples and stir. Cook for about one more hour.
To serve, drizzle with honey, and garnish with more chopped apples.
