CUPS ML OATS, STEEL-CUT *

CUPS ML WATER
2 473
CUPS ML MILK
or cream
¼ 59
CUP ML BROWN SUGAR *
1 5
TEASPOON ML CINNAMON
ground
2 2
MEDIUM MEDIUM APPLES
peeled and diced
1 1
X X HONEY
for drizzling(x) *

Directions

Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.

Add the oatmeal, water, milk, brown sugar and cinnamon to the Crockpot. Cover and set on low. Cook at least 6 hours, up to 12 hours.

Temperatures on slow cookers vary. If you have a newer model of slow cooker the higher temperature may cook faster. Check the oatmeal after 5 hours and adjust the time as needed. You can add more water and set your crockpot on warm (after cooking on low) to keep the oatmeal warm.

About one hour before serving, add the diced apples and stir. Cook for about one more hour.

To serve, drizzle with honey, and garnish with more chopped apples.
