A crowd pleasing appetizer to take to any party or serve it with a Mexican Caesar salad for a meatless meal.

Ingredients

EACH EACH FLOUR TORTILLAS
1 package *

SMALL SMALL GREEN CHILI PEPPERS, CANNED
or 1 large can diced green chiles *
1 1
BUNCH BUNCH SCALLIONS, SPRING OR GREEN ONIONS
sliced *

OUNCES ML/G BLACK OLIVES
1 large can, sliced

OUNCES ML/G CHEDDAR CHEESE
grated, 1 large package
8 231.2
OUNCES ML/G MONTEREY JACK CHEESE
grated, 1 large package, or pepper jack

X X NONSTICK COOKING SPRAY
or melted butter *

X X CHILI POWDER *
1 1
X X SAUSAGE
cooked and crumbled, optional *

X X CILANTRO
chopped, optional *

Directions

  1. Spray Pam on cookie sheet

  2. Put two flour tortillas side by side on cookie sheet Sprinkle ⅓ of cheeses on tortillas

  3. Cover with ⅓ of onions, chiles, and black olives

  4. Add 1 tortilla to the top of each.

  5. Repeat the cheese, chiles, onions, and black olives.

  6. Add 1 more layer of tortilla and cheese layer.

  7. Top with a tortilla and spray with Pam or brush on butter.

  8. Sprinkle with chile powder.

  9. Bake 425 for 15 minutes until cheese is melted.

  10. Let sit for 5 minutes then cut into pie shapes.

Delicious served with a thick and chunky salsa.
