An easy and tasty soup. It's hearty and delicious enough to make everyone feel happy, serve it with some bread to complete the meal.
Blackened chicken mini tacos with a bold paprika-pepper spice rub, shredded and served in crispy shells with homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. A fun, build-your-own taco spread.
Slow-simmered ground beef chili with a surprise twist: sliced pepperoni stirred in with kidney beans for smoky, spicy depth. Serve over rice with melted cheddar on top.
These mini pizza muffins are quick-easy to make, and very tasty. They won't last long, kids and adults gobble them up in record breaking time. Great for a snack and they freeze very well (that is if you can get them into the freezer before someone eats them all!)
Slow-braised shredded beef in red and green chile sauces with tomatillos, green chiles, and cumin. A New Mexican-style chile stew served with avocado and white cheese.
A simply delicious millet salad. It's quick, easy, tasty and healthy.
So to start off with the first post, I decided to make a meal that screams of comfort food. Whilst it does take a bit of a while to get the meal done, once you take that first bite, heaven couldn’t seem closer if you were Adam trying to touch God’s finger in the “Creation of Adam” fresco created by Michaelangelo. The meal I speak of is Cottage Pie. There is much debate as to what exactly a cottage pie is and how it is different to a Shepherd’s pie...I don’t know. The dominant theory is that Sheperds pie uses lamb mince, whilst a cottage pie uses beef mince. I don’t know about you, but the term “Sheperds Pie” does not get my tastebuds going quite as well, so I prefer the term cottage pie. Besides, comparing the price of ground (mince) beef to ground lamb, a student would pick up the beef mince in a heartbeat without even so much as glancing at the lamb in the meat section. This cottage pie that I made is full of flavour, and just makes you want to cuddle up next to a fire and watch TCM movies all day either by yourself, or with a significant other. Here is the recipe:
A unique burrito like "stack" made in your crockpot, cheesy and tasty.
Juicy and sweet cherry tomatoes, peppery arugula, crunchy cucumber and creamy avocado are tossed with a light and tasty vinaigrette. An ideal summer salad.
A tex-mex style beefy chili chock-full of beef, beans and mushrooms.
This casserole was scrumptious, the butternut squash and the sweet potatoes turned out soft, sweet and full of flavor; burglar gave the meaty texture and soaked all the delicious flavor; tomato, red wine and stock made a delicious base for this casserole.
Definitely a five stars recipe, my husband made it yesterday for lunch. Nutmeg gave the extra zing, and the flavor was absolutely delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. We just finished the leftover for lunch, and it was even better. Strongly recommend this recipe to everyone!
Black bean chili built on two meats: cubed stewing beef and pork shoulder browned with onions, peppers and jalapeños, then simmered with tomatoes, cumin and a splash of red wine. Thick, smoky, deeply savory.
Packed with deliciousness and goodness. A great side dish to go with any main courses, or it can be served as a vegetarian main dish as well.
Sour cream burgers stay juicy because the sour cream goes right into the beef, along with green onion and a little crumb to keep them tender. Cook them fast in the microwave or sear them on the grill, then load up the buns.
A rich and delicious version of the classic pasta Carbonara loaded with chicken, ham, peas and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy sauce.
