Saucy Danish Meat Balls

 

These succulent meatballs made in their own savory sauce are great served with noodles or rice!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
cup ketchup
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper

Sauce
½ teaspoon red hot pepper sauce
or 3 to 4 dashes, to taste

½ green bell peppers
minced finely

¾ cups ketchup
½ cup water
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon red hot pepper sauce
to taste

2 teaspoons soy sauce, tamari
2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

Mix beef, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper together well.

Form into balls the size of walnuts.

Cook over low heat in skillet until done but not brown.

Danish meat ball sauce:

Simmer remaining ingredients for approximately 20 minutes. Pour over meat balls.
