Directions

Sift flour and dry ingredients together.

Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs and beat thoroughly.

Add dry ingredients and beat well.

Fold in plums, plum liquid and nuts.

Pour into cake pan approximately 7×11-inches.

Bake at 375℉ (190℃) for about 35 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat 3 ounces cream cheese, softened.

Add 2 teaspoons plum liquid and 1½ cups powdered sugar.
