American Style Flapjacks/Pancakes
Great, very easy recipe. I'm a horrible cook, but this was so simple and so delicious, that now I can't figure out for the life of me what is the point of pancake mix?
or margarine, melted
or margarine, melted
Sift the dry ingredients together, add the egg and mix it in until it is almost absorbed.
Add the milk and mix until semi-smooth.
Mix in the melted butter/margarine.
It should make about 5 pancakes 7 inches in diameter.
Use less sugar if you like to use a lot of syrup.

Great recipe, but I agree with only 1 tbsp sugar not 3, also tastes even better with some blueberrys or chocolate chips in there!about 12 years ago

I used this as a guide but adapted it a bit -- I followed the less sugar advice, increased the proportion of egg slightly and added buttermilk powder -- a little over 1 TB. They came out great. Thanks for the recipe.over 11 years ago
