Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 cup vegetable oil

Directions

Mix all ingredients except oil.

Form into a ball and flatten dough into pieces about 2½ inches wide and ½ inch thick.

Heat oil and fry pieces until both sides are brown.
