Master Chewy Oatmeal Cookies
They are so easy to make, and they are so delicious! Make your own freshly baked cookies at home.
Ingredients

vegetable shortening
butter flavored, or butter |

brown sugar
firmly packed |

eggs

milk

1 ½ | teaspoons |
vanilla extract

|
3 | cups |
rolled oats
|
|
1 | cup |
all-purpose flour

½ | teaspoon |
baking soda
|

¼ | teaspoon |
cinnamon

raisins, seedless
|

1 | cup |
walnuts
chopped |
Directions
Lightly grease cookie sheet with shortening.
Combine shortening, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla; beat with mixer on high speed to blend well.
Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; add to shortening mixture and combine until just blended.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool 2 minutes on cooling rack.

8 months agoI guessed at 350 degrees -- they took 14-15 minutes, but they came out GREAT!!!
