Crock Pot Baked Beans
Bean lovers will love this delicious crockpot dish that tastes great with bread bowls or crusty bread.
Ingredients

navy beans
dried, rinsed, soaked overnight |

water

¾ | cups |
molasses
|
|
½ | cup |
coffee
black |
|
¼ | cup |
brown sugar
dark, firmly packed |

apple cider vinegar

dry mustard

freshly ground |

cut in half, stuck with 4 cloves |

bacon, canadian style
slices, chopped |

Directions
Combine the beans & water in your slow cooker, cover & cook on low heat for 7 hours until tender.
Drain and, refrigerate in the crock pot. The beans may be cooked up to 3 days in advance.
Stir together the molasses, coffee, sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt & pepper in small bowl.
Stir into beans in pot.
Add onion & Canadian bacon (or substitute chopped ham), pushing down into beans.
Cook, covered, on low heat for 7 hours, or until beans are flavored through.
