There’s a reason these show up at every holiday cookie swap, bake sale, and family gathering across America.

A simple peanut butter dough gets rolled into balls, coated in granulated sugar, and baked until just set.

Then comes the fun part: pressing a Hershey’s Kiss right into the warm center of each cookie so the chocolate softens and clings to that nutty, crumbly base.

Kids go wild for them, and honestly, so do the grown-ups.

Pro Tips

  • Press the Kiss in right after the first bake, then return to the oven for just 2 more minutes. This anchors the chocolate without melting it completely.
  • Chill the dough for 15 minutes if it feels too sticky to roll into neat balls.
  • Unwrap all your Kisses before you start baking so you can work fast while the cookies are still warm.
