Apple peanut butter tea sticks are the kind of vintage treat that deserves a comeback, especially for afternoon tea or cookie swaps.

The batter combines peanut butter with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped apples, then bakes in a square pan until just set.

Cut the warm cake into finger-shaped pieces and roll each one in powdered sugar for an elegant finish that looks way fancier than the effort required.

Kitchen Tips

  • Beat the egg until light before adding sugar so the cookies have a tender, cake-like texture
  • Cool the pan for 5 minutes before cutting so the pieces hold together and don’t crumble
  • Roll in powdered sugar while still slightly warm so it sticks and creates that classic snowy coating
