Cherry Pudding
Placentia Women's Round Table friend, Brenda, shared this recipe using sour cherries. Can't wait to try it!!
Ingredients

all-purpose flour

sugar

cherry juice

butter

cherries
tart, 1 can, drain and reserve juice |

walnuts
chopped |

1 | teaspoon |
baking soda
mixed with 1 teaspoon water |

Sauce | |||
1 | cup |
brown sugar

vanilla extract

all-purpose flour

butter

cherry juice
remaining cherry juice with enough water to measure 1 cup, cook until thick, 5 or 6 minutes. |

Directions
Blend together flour, sugar and salt.
Beat egg, add ½ cup cherry juice and melted butter, add baking soda mixture, add to flour, sugar, salt mixture. Mix well.
Add chopped nuts and cherries.
Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350℉ (180℃) for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven and poke holes with a fork and pour hot sauce over pudding.
Cool and refrigerate.
Serve with whipped cream.
