Take the classic Waldorf salad and stack it on toasted bread with sliced turkey. That’s the whole idea here, and it works beautifully.

The spread is where the flavor lives. Chopped celery and walnuts get mixed into mayo with a squeeze of lemon juice. The celery brings crunch, the walnuts add a toasty richness, and the lemon keeps everything tasting bright instead of heavy.

Layer it up on toasted bread: lettuce first, then sliced turkey, fresh apple slices, and a generous smear of that walnut-celery mayo. The toast gives you a sturdy base that holds up to the wet ingredients without going soggy.
