Directions
Cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Mix thoroughly.
Chill dough several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350℉ (180℃).
Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll in sesame seeds.
Place on unbuttered cookie sheets.
Press a candied cherry half into each.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
