Ingredients

½ cup butter
¾ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
white
1 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup walnuts
chopped, or pecans
½ cup chocolate chips

Directions

In a large saucepan, melt together the butter, oil, and cocoa powder over low heat to prevent scorching.

Remove from heat.

Stir in the sugar and vanilla, blending well.

Add eggs one at a time, then mix in dry ingredients just until blended.

Fold in nuts and choc chips.

Spread batter in a greased and floured 13x9 inch pan.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
