Ingredients

2 ½ pounds beef chuck
coursely ground
1 large onions
chopped
4 cloves garlic
minced
1 can beer
5 ounces rotel chiles and tomatoes

2 tablespoons chili powder
1 ½ tablespoons cumin
1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
coarsely ground
1 ½ teaspoons monosodium glutamate
or accent
*
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
ground
*
¼ teaspoon sage
ground
*
¼ teaspoon oregano
ground
*
¼ teaspoon thyme
ground
*
¼ teaspoon coriander
*

Directions

Place beef, onion and garlic in a large Pyrex bowl.

Microwave on high for 12 to 14 minutes, stirring twice.

Add all remaining ingredients, stirring well.

Cover and microwave on high 15 minutes. Stir.

Cover and microwave on 30 percent (medium-low) 4 minutes, stirring once midway through cooking.

Add more beer if chili gets to thick during cooking.

This recipe can be done in a crock pot after the meat is browned and onions are sautéed.

Cook in the crock pot 6 to 8 hours on slow.
