Directions

Preheat the oven to 350℉ (180℃).

Grease an 8 inch square brownie pan.

In a large bowl, add the sugar, egg, molasses, butter, coffee, and vanilla. Blend thoroughly.

In another bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until completely incorporated.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 23 to 25 minutes or until a skewer or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the brownies start to pull away from the sides of the pan.

Cool on a wire rack.

Make three even cuts in each direction to make a total of 16 brownies.

Dust with powdered sugar.
