4 whole grain or regular sub rolls, split
16 slices of thinly-sliced pepperoni (I use Hormel)
12 slices deli Genoa salami

12 large fresh basil leaves OR 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
4 thin slices of sweet onion, halved
8 slices Provolone cheese
Directions
Generously drizzle the dressing evenly over cut sides of bread.
On bottom sides of rolls, layer the meats, tomato slices and mozzarella cheese.
On top sides of rolls, layer the basil leaves (or shredded lettuce), sliced onion and provolone cheese.
Place on foil-lined baking sheet and broil 6 to 8 inches from heat source for 2 to 3 minutes.
Close tops and serve.
NOTE: Could also wrap individual sandwiches in foil and heat in preheated 400℉ (200℃) oven for 10 to 15 minutes. This sandwich is also great cold.
