Easy Crock-Pot Spaghetti Sauce

A traditional and delicious spaghetti sauce that can easily be made with the help of your slow cooker.












Trans-fat Free


1 pound beef
1 each onions
2 each tomatoes
1 lb cans, cut up
1 each tomato sauce
8 oz can
1 each tomato paste
12 oz can
1 cup vegetable stock
or chicken or beef
2 tablespoons parsley leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon oregano
dried leaves
1 teaspoon basil
dried leaves
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper


Brown meat and onion in fry pan, drain off fat; transfer to crockpot.

Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

Serve over hot spaghetti.

Note: Can be made ahead and frozen.

Very easy and tasty. I left out the sugar, as we find tomato paste to be sweet enough and don't like overly sweet sauce. I also threw in a few quartered mushrooms, which added some bulk to the sauce. I also used the last of my fresh oregano. I loved that I didn't have to stand at the stove and stir, etc. Served with spinach fettuccine and garlic bread.

This recipie is VERY good. It actually tastes very similar to Ragu store bought sauce. I added a few things of my own which made it even better! Your family will never believe you made this yourself!!

Why would one serving of this be 1590 Calories???

Thanks for your comment, just updated the serving size, and it should be at least 4 servings instead of 1 serving; so each serving is 373 calories, enjoy this delicious recipe :)
