This low fat and low calories sorbet is perfect during the hot summer day, it helps you cool down the body and satisfy the mouth.

halved lengthwise and pitted

removed with a vegetable peeler *

Directions

Add all ingredients and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan, stir well and cook, covered, over medium heat, stirring once a while, until plums fall apart, 24 to 26 minutes.

Discard cinnamon stick and zest.

Purée in batches in a blender until smooth (Be cautious when working with hot liquids).

Let purée go through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding solids.

Cool, uncovered, then refrigerate, covered, until chilled, at least 3 hours.

Add purée in ice cream maker and let ice cream maker run according to the manufacture’s direction.

Spoon into an airtight container and freeze until harden, at least 2 hours or overnight.
