Directions

Heat the butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion, celery, and sliced kielbasa sausage, stirring occasionally, until the onions turn translucent and the sausage slices begin to brown.

Add the chicken stock, potatoes, cabbage, thyme, and marjoram, bring to a boil, reduce heat to a steady simmer, and cook until potatoes are fork tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Add the green peas and simmer for up to 5 minutes; do not overcook the peas.

Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding salt and black pepper to taste.
