I give this recipe 5 stars. I can see why it is one of most popular recipes at all time, it was so quick and easy to make, and it was so tasty. I did make some changes to develop more depths of flavor.

So instead of throwing all the veggies into the baking pan directly, I sauteed the vegetables separately. Caramelized the onion and leek partially, browned the mushrooms, and cook the bell peppers and zucchini with olive oil and garlic, which developed tons of flavor.

Also I made my own healthier version of Bisquick mix, and it turned out great . Of course, just follow the original recipe itself, you will still have an outstanding freshly baked quiche to enjoy :)

Surprisingly good and quite filling. An interesting take on quiche. The eggs and bisquick mix (we made our own, see links below to make your own bisquick baking mix) combined and separated when baking, very quichey on the bottom topped with a fluffy cheesy biscuity cake.

HOW DID YOU BOOST THE BISQUICK TO MAKE IT TANGY AND NUTTY?

Fold in nut flour and use buttermilk instead of milk. ;)

I like how the new receipe removes butter but I did add 3 tabs. I made it with tomatoes, broccoli, yellow and red onion and a half hot pepper. Seasoned with Johnson garlic seasoning, oregano salt and pepper. Oh, I also added Johnsonville hot beef sausage. Yummy if you like it hot!
