Directions

Cream the butter and sugar until light yellow.

Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time, then the vanilla extract.

Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda and add to the butter mixture.

Stir in dates and walnuts.

Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350℉ (180℃) F until lightly browned on top, about 10 minutes.
