Directions

Pour melted shortening into HOT applesauce.

Add sugar. Sift in flour, baking soda and cinnamon.

Add raisins and nuts. Bake in greased 9×13 inch pan at 375 for 1 hour or for 25 minutes in two 8 inch pans.

Good while still warm topped with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
