473 ml sour milk
3E+1 ml lard

Directions

Sift together dry ingredients.

Add eggs to milk and stir into dry ingredients.

Add melted fat. Pour into greased pan 8 inch square.

Bake at 425 degrees F. for 20 to 30 min.

I would not make these again. I have tasted cornbread that was moist and flavourful. This does not come remotely close.

Hi Judy, I just read the recipe, and I think this is a very basic corn bread that's served with chili, stew or roast. Unlike the moist one that always has a lot more fat (butter and/or cheese) and other flavor busting ingredients, such as jalapeno.
