How to make salisbury steak

  1. In a bowl, combine ⅓ cup of the French onion soup with the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Shape into six oval patties.

  2. In skillet, brown patties: pour off any excess fat. Gradually blend remaining soup into flour until smooth. Add to skillet with remaining ingredients; stir to loosen browned bits.

  3. Cover, cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done. Stir now and then.

I will try this tonight, any suggestions if I don't have a can of French onion soup? i Have the dried soup mix, would I just "make" the soup according to the package, and then continue with recipe? I want to make this tonight, so if you could respond....

I used the dried soup and it works amazing, you can make it or put in on top of the browned patties and then add water ☺️
