Classic oatmeal, raisin and walnut cookies.

Ingredients

¾ cup vegetable shortening
*
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
well beaten
5 tablespoons water
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups oatmeal
regular
½ cup walnuts
meats, chopped
1 cup raisins, seedless

Directions

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs, Cook raisins in water until tender.

Drain.

Add Salt, cinnamon, flour and soda to creamed mixture, then oatmeal and add raisins last.

Droop from a spoon on greased cookie sheet 375 until done.
