I use crushed Ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs and add 2/3 cup of shredded sharp Cheddar. A simple gravy to go along with the meatloaf can also be made using another packet of soup mix, 2 Tbs. flour and 2 cups of cold water. Simmer until thickened.

Ingredients

3 pounds ground beef, lean
1 package onion soup mix

2 large eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
oatmeal, or crushed crackers
1 tablespoon garlic
pepper
¼ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon oregano
1 ½ teaspoons basil

1 ½ teaspoons lemon thyme
*
1 teaspoon rosemary leaves

Directions

Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Put in pan and bake in 350℉ (180℃) for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until done.

This is listed under "no egg" meatloaf recipes but clearly has eggs in it. FAIL!
