Easy and Yummy Salmon Burgers
Very low calorie alternative to your typical beef burger. The water chestnuts give the burger a good crunch.
Ingredients
5 | ounces |
canned salmon
boneless, skinless, pink |

⅓ | cups |
water chestnuts
drained and finely chopped |

⅓ | cups |
bread crumbs, whole wheat
panko |
|
⅓ | cup |
scallions, spring or green onions
sliced |
|
1 | large |
egg whites
|

olive oil
for cooking |

Directions
Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
Heat olive oil in medium skillet on medium high heat.
Shape mix into burgers. You can also use a ring mold to make patties.
Cook about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
Serve on toasted wheat bun! You can also add your favorite sauce or light mayo.

Sean-They are actually carrots spritzed w- olive oil and sprinkled w- dill. Roast them on 400 for 20 min.
about 11 years agoMeatball- sounds awesome! I have all ingredients on hand. I used a bit of garlic-infused olive oil mayo- next time I'll go the healthier route!
